Pediatric Therapy Services

Our Therapy Services are provided by our sister company, Eyas Landing, an outpatient therapy clinic that provides services to Chicago area children with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Anxiety, and a wide variety of other sensory, developmental, and mental health conditions. Each child is evaluated by our multidisciplinary team to better understand the supports they need to succeed in learning, and Eyas Landing therapists provide therapy for relevant needs based on the results of these evaluations and therapist recommendations.  

Education Services
Merlin Day Academy provides educational instruction and special education services tailored to your child’s strengths and needs to promote learning. Our educational services include:
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Customized learning plans developed collaboratively with families, educators, and specialists to set meaningful academic and developmental goals for each student.
Special Education Instruction
Specialized classroom instruction delivered by certified special education teachers, designed to meet each student’s unique learning style and academic needs.
Speech & Language Therapy
Individual and group therapy sessions that support communication development, language processing, articulation, and social communication skills.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Structured programs that help students develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, relationship-building skills, and responsible decision-making.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services
Evidence-based behavioral strategies integrated into daily instruction to support positive behavior, skill-building, and independence.
Occupational Therapy
Therapeutic services that help students develop fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and daily living skills needed for success in school and beyond.
Physical Therapy
Movement-based therapeutic support to improve gross motor skills, coordination, strength, and physical development in a safe and encouraging environment.
Family & Parent Support Services
Resources, workshops, and one-on-one guidance to empower families with the tools and knowledge needed to support their child’s growth at home and in the community.

Merlin Day is approved as by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for IEP school and therapy service placement.

Merlin Day also accepts private insurance for pediatric therapy services.

Diagnostic Testing

Our sister company, Blue Bird Day, provides diagnostic testing and assessment for Merlin Day Academy students and Chicago area families. The testing team at Blue Bird Day aims to help our children and families better understand themselves and their children. By providing comprehensive assessments, we outline not only diagnoses but strengths, needs, and recommendations for supports. Many individuals come to testing seeking information about what can help themselves or their children at work, school, or other settings. Blue Bird Day’s testing team can provide recommendations for accommodations that can support Merlin Day Academy students in their daily lives and are ready to help advocate for these supports.
